Bloomsday!

Ok this is the 3rd time I will have typed this but I can’t see my explanation of Bloomsday. the point I want to get across is this… Bloomsday was great. I wasn’t able to run it as planned, because we “assumed” we had a babysitter when we didn’t so I had to push a stoller the whole 7.5 miles and my knees were killing me. I think it is due to the shoes I wear at work I am not sure. HOWEVER the best part of the day was seeing a gal who had participated in IRONMAN and obviously was a very dedicated athlete… did the whole 7.5 miles on crutches. And just to give you an idea about the course… there are 3 major hills with one of them being called Doomsday hill that is about a 6% grade or more. She won my awe and appreciate and respect! My hats off to her! But it was a blast!

week 2

so I took a little walk with the family last night.  My husband, the baby and the dog.  I am taking it easy this week since Sunday I am doing 7 miles in bloomsday, but I am still getting out there to keep my activity level up!

walk

Well I had a weekend of rest. Kinda. I took my 7 month old to the circus and then to the park to play. I walked about 2 miles downtown pushing a stroller. I then went out Saturday night with some friends. I think I ate or drank something that made me sick because all day Sunday and most of today I have been friends with the toliet. I did however push myself to walk a mile and a half with the dog!

Day 7

Nice relaxing yoga this morning. I got woke up at 4:30 by my 7 month old baby. So yeah I hope I can make it through the day without being too tired. This week has definately pushed me, but that is a good thing! :)

day 6

I am starting to feel that my legs need a rest from all the activity. I took it pretty easy tonight pretty much walking the whole time. I did run about a total of a mile tonight. Tomorrow I am going to be taking it really easy. when I get home from work I will be taking my daughter in the stroller and the dog for a walk for about 2 miles. I want to have done at least 15 miles in a week. so I need to get some sleep because I am wiped out!

day 6

it was yoga this morning!  YEA!  I love yoga!  then I did 10 min of ab work.  Tonight will be an easy run right after work.  I am getting pretty excited.  I am not seeing the weight loss like I thought I would, so maybe I need to adjust something on my diet side of things.  Not sure I’ve been eating around 1500-1700 calories a day.. maybe I am just a little too carb heavy.   oh well I just need to get in shape for the Las Vegas Marathon and I am sure the weight thing will follow!

I did 2 mile pretty much walk ( I had my dog with me) The parts that I did run I found myself being able to run further and longer!  I am getting pretty excited
